Process
Wood & Wire are here to design kitchens and furniture specifically for you and your space. Size, function, colour and finish can all be tailored to suit your needs and tastes. We’re happy to interpret detailed plans, begin from scratch with a blank design or start somewhere in-between. Either way, we’ll look at every project creatively. We’ll be there to assist you during each stage of the process.

Alternatively, we’ve compiled a list of handy resources in our blog post mid-century kitchen design ideas and resources to get you started.

1. Estimate
Once you get in touch with us, the first thing we’ll do is ask for some basic information to get a better idea of your project and its schedule. We’ll be happy at this stage for you to provide us with as much information as you can so that we’re able to create a “ballpark” estimate for you.
If you’ve got an architect or a designer on the project, that’s great! Please ask them for a .PDF and a .DWG file of your project and we’ll take all the measurements we need from there.
If you’re looking to replace an existing kitchen or don’t have any design plans, we’ll need some initial measurements from you. Need help? Don’t worry, we’ve put together this handy guide to show you how to measure a kitchen.

2. Design and Quote
If you’re happy with our estimate, we’ll progress to creating some initial design ideas for you to choose from and upon your selection of your preferred route, we’ll issue you with a design quote. If you haven’t already, now is the time to start thinking about your kitchen planning.

3. Development
Now the real fun starts. You’ll be invited to meet with one of our bespoke plywood kitchen designers, who’ll take you through the fine details of your project. Colours, finishes, worktops, appliances and accessories – we’re here to guide you through all the options so you’ll be completely happy with every choice you make. Pick your worktop from popular brands such as Cosentino Silestone, Cosentino Dekton and Corian by Dupont. And as authorised displaying dealers of BORA hobs, QUOOKER taps and SIEMENS we’re sure we can match you to the right appliances and accessories too. Alternatively, we can source other worktops, appliances or accessories of your choice.

4. Production
Once your project is finalised, it’s time for us to bring it to life. If applicable we’ll arrange a mutually convenient time to survey your site. This allows us to get accurate and final measurements** for us to manufacture from. At this stage, our manufacturing team will be in touch to confirm your delivery date and fitting schedule for your project. Feel free to pop into our workshop to see your project come to life.
**In most cases, measurement differences at the site survey stage are negligible. For various reasons though, in some cases measurements may be significantly different. If we do find that finalisation of the manufacturing drawings have a significant impact on the cost of the work, we’ll discuss this with you and re-quote accordingly.

5. Delivery, Fitting and Completion
It’s the big day! Our lovely team (that’s what our clients say) will pop round to deliver everything they’ll need for starting the job. We know it can be a daunting prospect having workmen in your home, and a big delivery can be a bit overwhelming too. Don’t worry though; our experienced guys really are a fabulous, friendly bunch and are there to do the best job they can in a professional manner. Depending on the size of your project they’ll be with you anywhere between a couple of hours to a couple of weeks, and they’ll answer any questions or concerns you might have about fitting, then leave you with a finished project that will make you go “WOW”

6. After Care
Once the final invoice is paid, don’t think we don’t care any more – we definitely do. If you have any questions about your new kitchen or furniture, or if something goes wrong, needs changing or tweaking, just get in touch. We want you to be 100% happy with your investment. We’ll always welcome your call.
