The Hallfalls

We were recommended to the client by the award-winning architectural team Gagarin Studio, who were keen to get Wood & Wire on board for this barn conversion interior in Lancaster. Our original role focused on designing and building the property’s large kitchen, pantry, utility room, and bespoke storage for the living and dining areas.

The kitchen pairs beautifully crafted Oak veneered birch plywood cabinetry with clean engineered quartz worktops and Aga range, combining modernity with a traditional centrepiece that respects the barn’s architectural character. A soft, earthy palette runs throughout, blending natural wood tones with gentle lighting, making the space feel both open and grounded.

Beyond the main kitchen, the barn conversion interior features carefully detailed storage solutions, hidden joinery, and custom elements throughout the home, from a beautifully framed pantry with illuminated shelves to sliding wardrobe doors in the bedroom areas. Every inch of this project was designed to balance function, craftsmanship, and respect for the building’s original structure.

This barn conversion interior in Lancaster stands as a testament to what can be achieved when architects, makers, and homeowners work together. It’s a space that feels handcrafted, tailored, and entirely unique — a modern home wrapped inside a historic frame, brought to life by the craftsmanship of the Wood & Wire team.
