The Borgs

This dreamy pink and blue kitchen perfectly answered the brief of a client who wanted a kitchen that reminded them of a Biarritz sunset: one evoking the feel-good vibes of cocktails by the sea and warm sand between the toes. Using a pale blue and pink laminate onto plywood, with pops of fuchsia for vibrant warmth, we created a ‘holiday at home’ for this young family who’d been frustrated by the advice given by less imaginative kitchen companies. With young children, the family were adamant that they didn’t want a peninsula for the sink or the cooker because of the risk of their daughter potentially climbing up and reaching them. Other companies had previously tried to change the parents’ mind, so they we’re really relieved when we told them that accommodating their wishes wouldn’t be a problem. As with all of our briefs, the client’s needs are always our number one focus.
