To complement a new extension to their 1960's property, the Taylors chose an oak veneered plywood kitchen for their bespoke project, providing them with a generous space for cooking and dining. The kitchen layout design was led by the client, leaving us to suggest finishes and styles, including the double-sided coloured panels as seen here in the shelving units. Using double-sided panels allowed our client to change the colour palate from a bright to neutral colour whenever they fancied a change!
Kitchen Cabinets - Birch Plywood | Kitchen Doors and Drawers - White Laminate, European | Oak Veneer Open Shelving Units - Blue, Orange and Yellow Coloured Laminate | Worktop - Silestone Yukon
Jim and the team offer a truly bespoke service. This project would have been daunting if it wasn't for the advice that they provided.
Once a design was agreed upon, Wood & Wire immediately got in touch with our Architects, builders, electricians and plumbers to get a better understanding of how the extension was being constructed and how they could influence electrical points, plumbing etc.
Everything was designed specifically to fit our kitchen, no standard unit sizes or 'cutting down' cabinets, everything perfectly proportioned and positioned. Colour and material samples were provided and we chose the kitchen.
When the team came to install again, we were very impressed. Having an extension built we'd seen our fair share of trades. Wood & Wire were by far the cleanest, friendliest and most accommodating, we trusted them with our house and kitchen. The kitchen was fully installed within 5 days and Wood & Wire were only too happy to return to fix snags.
The attention to detail was superb and the lighting also delivered the perfect range of moods from 'cleaning' to 'dinner party'.
We've had the kitchen for a year now and it still looks like new in spite of having two very messy children. The materials are clearly going to last, everything still feels solid and well built. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wood & Wire to anyone.
