This birch plywood wardrobe lovingly known as ‘Rufus’ is part of our exclusively designed plywood furniture collection.‘Rufus’ is a creation of Wood & Wire founder Jim Leach, following the ethos and aesthetics of modernism. Our ‘Rufus’ birch plywood wardrobes will look amazing in any bedroom whilst paying tribute to their mid-century influence.
We manufacture the ‘Rufus’ ply wardrobe entirely from high-quality birch plywood. It’s a freestanding wardrobe with two full-width drawers and sliding doors. Behind the sliding doors, there is a hanging rail and three shelves. This ply wardrobe design is available in a selection of ultra hard-wearing coloured laminate for the drawer fronts and sliding doors. Each wardrobe is carefully manufactured by our team of master craftsmen at our very own workshop which is right here in the heart of the Pennines, Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, UK.

We finish the ‘Rufus’ birch ply wardrobes with two coloured laminates of your choice. The laminate colours seen here are; white and tangerine.
We manufacture each piece to order and lead times are between 4 to 6 weeks dependent on colour.
